“Emanate” anniversary week
24 years ago, Penumbra released our very first album “Emanate”.
We couldn’t be prouder to get signed by a well-known german label Serenades Records that gave us the fantastic opportunity to represent France on the international metal scene.
More gothic than symphonic at the time, we composed this album with our passion of classical instruments slashing with metal ones to provide a sweet and dynamic atmosphere.
Thanks to Emanate, for the first time in metal music, oboe was introduced.
It was the beginning of 24 years of passion that we keep on sharing with you since then.
